On Sexuality

"The bourgeois want art voluptuous and life ascetic; the reverse would be better."- Adorno

The problem with all hitherto existing Communism has been its rejection of sexuality. The USSR suffered greatly because it allowed the morality of the bourgeoisie to continue. So, as detailed by Wilhelm Reich, people continued to be repressed, and in the case of women, oppressed. Alienation must be combatted in all its forms, and one of these is a sexual alienation. Women who enjoy sex are dismissed as sluts, and sex itself is shamed, with the people who enjoy it being seen as impure. This can be seen further in modern entertainment, where the genius and intellectual is often depicted as asexual. The recent Sherlock, to name one example. This is of course ludicrous when you consider how natural sex is.

The decadence of the bourgeoisie must be sublimated to the proletariat.

To remedy this we need a Sexual Communism, similar to the liberal idea of free love, but given a materialist basis, after all, what is more materialist than sexual intercourse? I am not advocating a crude polygamy. Marriage is of course an outdated institution but the way love exists it seems evident right now at least that people will continue to desire one mate, the important thing is the option continue to there, and for the liberatory potential of sexual communion. This will go a great deal further to creating a happy society, and doing away with false consciousness.
